AFTERCARE ADVICE

LOOKING AFTER YOUR BROWS, EYELINER OR LIPS POST TREATMENT IS A VITAL PART OF ENSURING THEY STAY AS PERFECT AS POSSIBLE.

These instructions will need to be followed after initial treatments, retouches and colour boosts.

  • Immediately after your treatment the pigment can look 20-50% darker. The following days it may look darker still. This is because the skin has started to heal and dry skin forms on the top which can make it look darker and thicker. It will lighten after 4-10 days, when all the dry skin has come away but don't panic its completely normal. The true healed colour will not come through until approximately 6 weeks after your treatment.

  • For the first 2 weeks you MUST keep the area clean and dry. Wash around the area, avoid any products or makeup onto the area, avoid extreme heat, cold and moisture, direct sun, sun beds, jacuzzis, steam, saunas, swimming pools.

  • During the first week you may experience some dryness, swelling, redness, itchiness, tenderness, flaking. Reactions will vary from person to person.

  • If having a lip treatment, you should avoid eating salty, spicy foods and drink all liquids through a straw.

  • Healing balm is to be applied daily until all dryness has gone. A very thin layer am & pm. If having a lip treatment you may need to apply the balm more throughout the day.

  • DO NOT pull or pick any of the dry skin, let it fall off naturally. If you pick, it can result in the colour healing unevenly or risk an infection.
